TEXT: This is a picture of Iris milesii, which grows in the Himalaya mountain range. I have raised it from seed sown 4 years ago, the plant grows in sandy soil in the rock garden. The height is ca 1,00 meter on thin stems. It does not appear invasive in a rock garden. The single flower does not last more than a day, but with a few stems there will be blooming for almost a month.
