TEXT: Androsace alpina (Primulaceae) Beautiful high alpine species found only in the European Alps. Grows on non-calcareous rocks between 2000 and 4000m. Cultivation is difficult. Can be grown outside in a trough with winter wet protection. Propagation by seed and from cuttings.  In Dutch: In het mailtje van 29 januari '99 vroeg je om foto's van alpenplanten en bollen. Hierbij een foto van Androsace alpina. Is het mogelijk om in het Nederlands te schrijven of levert de vertaling moeilijkheden op? Mijn moedertaal is namerlijk Nederlands. Submitted by: Arie Dekker
