| TEXT: Anemone x lesseri (Ranunculaceae) A cross between A. multifida and A. sylvestris. Clausen and Ekstrom in Perennials for American Gardens describe the plant as free flowering, with the possibility of repeat bloom in the fall. They speak of white and yellow varieties, tho deep rose pink and red are the most common. The setting here in Joan Hoeffel's garden is perfect. |
