BOTANISING
IN RUSSIA

Dear Navigators of
Cyberspace:
Would you like to replace your
virtual trips by real trips to Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Ussurian
Taiga or the Sea of Okhotsk?
My 1996 transcontinental
tour to US and Canada, organized by the North American Rock
Garden Society, revealed great interest in our plants. We
can provide qualified guidance. Maybe some graduate students
would like to do their PhD thesis in botany and/or plant
ecology, investigating our vast area. Why not? It is a
challenge and continuation of good traditions of 18-19
centuries.
Clever, brave persons who can obtain
external funding are welcome! Those who are afraid of bears
need not apply.
