TEXT: Here is a photo of Chionophila jamesii, known locally as James Snowlover. It is in Scrophulariaceae and is considered a rare species in my area. This photo was taken by my husband Klaus with his Sony Mavica digital camera on Hoosier Ridge (which is on The Continental Divide of North America) in Summit County, Colorado U.S.A., at an elevation of approximately 12,800 feet.
