A record of some of the events, participants and plants at the East Lancashire AGS Show held at Tottington, Bury, England on March 20th, 2004

Tottington High School. The venue for the East Lancs Show.
Brian Smethurst on his way to Car Park duties....just before the rain and the high winds arrived. Dedication is a word that comes to mind!!!!
Looking pleased with his efforts, Ron Price after supervising the placement of the show banner. The hard work was actually achieved by Brian and yours truly !!!!!!!

There's nothing quite like a welcoming face to greet the exhibitors at 7 in the morning. And yes, this is nothing quite like a welcoming face !!!! But we couldn't do any of this without the East Lancs beloved founder...our very own Cliff Booker.
Waiting for the show to open. The owner was no doubt enjoying a 'bacon butty' breakfast in the restaurant!!!!!

......where our great team of members ensured that our guests who had travelled long (and short) distances were able to enjoy food throughout the day..... ....after disposing of their plants somewhere in the hall !!!!!

And here is the hall.....just starting to fill up with exhibits....the others would be along as soon as their owners had decided they'd had enough to eat for breakfast. .........
......or when they could be prised away from the plant sales areas.

Ah!!! That's better!!!! And now for the serious business of the judging !!!!! ....to see who can take away the trophies at the end of the day!!!!!

The Three Wise Men......well I have to say that, don't I?
Alan Furness, Don Peace and Brian Halliwell....three of the most respected judges in alpine circles pondering their decision.
Judging over....now for the Judge's Lunch. Oh boy, this is a stressful job. And who else but Sherba to look after their culinary requirements whilst the rest of us get to see what we came for in the first place.....the PLANTS !!!!!!
