The East Lancashire Group was formed in December 1986. It's aims are simply this:

"To advance the appreciation and knowledge of, and the sheer delight to be found in, alpine gardening in all its forms".

REST IN PEACE

It is with the greatest of sadness that one of our founder members, Chairman, Show Secretary ,Vice President and above all dear friend, JAMES LEVER, passed away in November of this year (2003), having served the East Lancs group for 17 years.

Your memory will live on Jim.
