TEXT: Fritillaria whittalii This comes from Turkey, flowers at the same time as Fritillaria michailovskyi -- mid April onwards. It looks very much like F.melegris alba, but the interiors are yellow, and the whole flower is more chequered. Grows best in full sun, well-drained soil that dries out in the summer.
