| TEXT: Did you want me to say something botanically brilliant about the gumboots.... like name the species? Well sorry I can't -- but I like the succulents because they are so easily grown from a small piece given by friends, and they withstand a fair amount of non-attention. Gardening in New Zealand at the moment is a matter of copious watering in the midst of a drought. [Moderator's suggestion: labeling it "Hevea sp. (Euphorbiaceae)" might be appropriate for the gum boots themselves?] |
