Another 'FIRST' is the addition of a GALLERY OF PLANTS
AT THE SHOW for your enjoyment. You can see these by clicking on the
link on the results page.
Congratulations to all the East Lancs Members and especially to Shelagh
(her first show as Show Secretary) for another show to be proud of.
The Alpine Garden Society hosts 22 competitive shows annually, throughout the country.
The East Lancashire
Show, which was
first held in 1991, regularly attracts around 700 exhibits from the country's
leading Alpine gardeners and this year will be held at

This year's show will have 130 classes available for exhibitors. Details of these can be found in the Alpine Garden Society's Show Handbook, issued free to members.

Members of the public,
who are most welcome, will be able to view the exhibits immediately after
judging, at 11.30 am. (Admission price £1 payable at the door).

The East Lancs Group will have both a plant sales and a book sales area where you can purchase all your alpine requirements. In addition, there will be an Advice Center, sponsored by the East Lancashire Group, where members will be pleased to answer any questions relating to the cultivation of alpine plants and, should you wish, you will be able to join both the East Lancashire Group and the Alpine Garden Society by enrolling at the Publicity Stand.
